Science Objectives | |
ACT: To monitor the volume transport of the Agulhas Current for three years off East London, South Africa. Cruise in February 2013 is the final of three ACT cruises. | |
Science Activities | |
Recover twelve moorings across the Agulhas Current: Seven full-depth current meter moorings over the continental slope, four C-PIES moorings at >4000 m depth, and one tide gauge in shallow water on the shelf.
Occupy 40 CTD stations - 20 during round-the-clock CTD operations fo a synoptic section, and another 20 at night between mooring recovery operations. | |
