Available Sampling Systems - O.I. Mark III Box Core
This traditional ‘spade’ closure type box corer can capture an undisturbed block of surface sediment that measures 50cm X 50cm X 75cm. Once recovered onboard, the stainless steel box containing the sediment is removed from the instrument framework and taken to a station where it can be carefully subsampled.
