Submit your entry via Facebook for a chance to win a trip to Cape Cod to help celebrate the arrival of the nation's newest research vessel, R/V Neil Armstrong, get a behind-the-scenes tour of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and more!

How to enter
1. Get creative, tell us about your idea!
Refine your idea for humans to improve our relationship with the ocean. Use words, photographs, video or even song your #OneGiantLeap.
2. Submit your entry.
To submit your entry, visit and like Woods Hole Oceagraphic Institution's Facebook page. Post your entry onto our timeline. Include the hashtag #OneGiantLeap and a tag to our Facebook page.
3. Like and share.
The weekly winners will be selected by a WHOI panel who will considert your post's popularity in making their selections.
How to Win
1. Two Weekly Winners
A panel consisting of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution scientists and editorial staff will select two (2) weekly winners from the contest entries. The judges will make their determination from among the eligible Entries, based on the following criteria: creativity/originality, skill, artistic acumen, numbers of likes the post receives, and relevance to the theme of #OneGiantLeap. Weekly winners will automatically enter you into Grand Prize voting.
2. Grand prize
Entries by the six finalist will be posted on the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Facebook page during the week of March 3, 2016, and voting will be open to the public to select the Grand Prize Winner. The post with the greatest number of likes at the end of the voting period will win the Grand Prize.
