The Retirement Committee is responsible for the operation and administration of WHOI's Retirement Plan except to the extent that such responsibilities are specifically assigned to WHOI or to the Trustees. 

The Retirement Committee has responsibility for interpreting and applying all Plan provisions and may correct any defect, supply any omission or reconcile any inconsistency or ambiguity in such manner as it deems advisable.  The Retirement Committee makes final determiniations concerning eligibility, benefits, and rights as stated in the Plan Document, and all other matters concerning Plan administration and interpretation.
