Job Summary
Under supervision of Facilities Director and in conjunction with scientific and support departments, designs, estimates costs, and assists with a wide variety of projects within the Facilities Group.

Major Duties
  • Updates drawings and other documentation for buildings and equipment.
  • Interprets architectural and mechanical drawings for intent and recommends changes and alterations as may be required.
  • Handles project assignments to include, but not be limited to, building construction/renovation, telecommunications, heating and ventilating, maintenance, and machinery installation/modification.
  • Produces required drawings and documentation necessary for cost estimates,successful project completion and record purposes.
  • Produces required drawings and documentation necessary for cost estimates,successful project completion and record purposes.
  • Handles regulatory compliance recordkeeping, filing and oversight of assigned areas, such as waste waster regulations, EPA and DEP reporting.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


Desired Education/Experience for Hiring
BSME or equivalent degree in facilities engineering, including 2 to 4 years in a plant engineering/facilities engineering environment. A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
