Job Summary Reporting to the Manager of Budgets and Financial Analysis and working independently, performs diversified accounting duties in support of the Institution's general ledger and work papers through financial statements and daily functions. Monitors Institution expenditures for adherence to both government and non-government internal rules and regulations. May be responsible for budget/fiscal administration and reporting on all grants, contracts, and internal appropriations for research programs. Major Duties
Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job) Bachelors degree in accounting along with 3 years of related experience preferred or Associates degree in related field with 5-7 years of directly related experience. Experience in not-for-profit accounting, job cost accounting, grant accounting, or related work. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in accounting terminology and technique as well as interpretation and experience in procedures and principles employed in applicable areas. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external contacts. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is critical.
