The Institution recognizes the significant contributions of its' employees and students in making WHOI a world leader in ocean science. It supports activities that acknowledge those contributions and that foster positive morale and Institution spirit. These activities can take the form of a variety of events, both formal and informal.

Employee Recognition Celebration
An Institution-wide event to acknowledge employee service and exception employee performance.

Service Awards
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution recognizes and honors employees who have reached certain service milestones.

Performance Awards
Individual and group awards are given annually to acknowledge special employee performance over and above one's normal duties and responsibilities.
