The F-1 visa is a student visa issued to individuals who have been accepted for full-time study in the United States.F-1 visas are issued through M.I.T. for students associated with the WHOI/MIT Joint Program. For all other programs at WHOI, if you are currently in the United States in F-1 status and wish to participate in a program at WHOI, please check with your international office for advice on what type of visa arrangements are required that would allow you to engage in a temporary program activity at WHOI.
