Short-term Disability

If you are out of work for more than seven (7) calendar days as a result of an illness or injury and qualify for short-term disability benefits, a percentage of your income will be continued based on an employee's length of service with the Institution, as outlined in the chart below. You may, however, supplement any reduced short-term disability benefits with accrued vacation time.

Less than 5 Weeks 2 to 6 Weeks 7 to 26
5 to 10 Weeks 2 to 8 Weeks 9 to 26
10 to 15 Weeks 2 to 13 Weeks 14 to 26
More than 15 Weeks 2 to 26 -----
