Credit Cards

A credit card allows you to charge items without having to pay for them at the time of purchase. You will receive a monthly statement that will show the charges made on the card and the amount the cardholder has to pay the credit card company. If the full amount is not paid by the due date, fees and high interest rates might apply.

It is very useful to obtain a major credit card such as VISA or MasterCard before you arrive. Many stores honor credit cards and most car rental companies will only rent a car to you if you have a major credit card.
