If you are out of work occasionally due to an illness or injury, WHOI will continue your salary at 100%. Family Illness If you are out of work due to the birth, adoption, or illness/injury of an immediate family member, you are eligible for up to 5 days paid per year. Short-term Disability If you are out of work for more than five consecutive work days as a result of an illness or injury and qualify for benefits, short-term disability benefits will begin. Long-Term Disability If your disability continues beyond six months and you continue to qualify for benefits, long-term disability benefits will begin. Last updated: February 25, 2013 | |||||||||||||
