TeleHealth Overview

Active WHOI employees (and their eligible dependents) who are enrolled in a WHOI medical plan can utilize the TeleHealth benefit offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) for non-emergency care!

With TeleHealth technology, you can have real-time video and telephonic visits with a doctor using your computer, smart phone, or tablet—simply and easily!  BCBSMA is leading TeleHealth efforts locally and nationally—seeking new ways to connect members to convenient and affordable care options.  Best of all, you can see a provider for non-emergency services without having to go to a providers office!

Using your smartphone, computer, or tablet, you can access TeleHealth services to speak with a doctor or therapist anytime you need care including after business hours and on weekends.  TeleHealth covers both medical and behavioral health care for conditions that can be treated through video visits. With TeleHealth, you can see a doctor or therapist anywhere you have online access, including your home, workplace, or wherever else you may be.
