Equipment

CIS has 3 projectors that can signed out through our Equipment Reservation form and picked up at your convenience at the CIS Helpdesk in Clark 145A. All 3 units work via a 15-pin VGA cable that connects to any computer with a 15-pin VGA video port.

• LARGE: a Polariod 211E LCD projector best used for 800x600 resolution
• MEDIUM: a Sharp XGNV3XB, native resolution of 1024x768
• SMALL: a PLUS U3-1100Z, native 1024x768, compressed SXGA

CIS also has laptops for short-term use at WHOI. Have a presentation to give? Reserve any of the laptops using our Equipment Reservation form.

• Dell Latitude D600 running Windows XP with Office XP
• Dell Latitude C600 running Windows XP with Office XP
• Dell Inspiron 7500 running XP and Office XP
• Macintosh iBook - G4 running MacOSX Tiger and Office 2004

We also have a conference phones to loan:

• Polycom Conference phone for use on any analog line
• Polycom Conference phone for use in any active network jack

Please note: All reservations should be made 24 hours in advance and are subject to approval. If equipment is needed on short notice, please contact the CIS Helpdesk at x2439.

Software

CIS has a site license with Microsoft, and other companies. To obtain more information on our site licenses, please go to the Site License page. To reserve software for self installation, please contiue to the Software Reservation Form.
