Thunderbird E-Mail Setup Instructions

The following are instructions that can assist you in setting up Thunderbird for reading and sending e-mail using the WHOI Network.  Before proceeding you will need to have an email account set up on WHOI's mail server and have Thunderbird installed on your computer. You may download Windows version of Thunderbird and the Mac version of Thunderbird from the WHOI FTP site.

Setup Instructions:

• Apply for an email account (New Users needing an account at WHOI)
• Install the program
• Email client configuration
• Set up the WHOI Directory (same as Netscape)
• Setting up the WHOI Newsgroup (same as Netscape)
• Protecting Against Email Attacks (same as Netscape)
