Email Account

This form is where all WHOI email applicants must start in order to obtain a WHOI email address. CIS will need to obtain additional information from you via telephone as well as confirm your position with the Institution. Please note that verification of your email account is left on your voicemail, so if you do not leave a valid WHOI voicemail phone number, you will not get notification if the account was created. If this poses a serious problem for you, please contact the CIS Helpdesk at x2439.

The WHOI email system permits multiple aliases or nicknames to be associated to the same person. If you are commonly known by a particular name that you'd like to receive mail as please include that nickname here as nickname@whoi.edu ("sparky@whoi.edu"), not just nickname.

By default, all email sent to your account will reside on the WHOI Email server. If you prefer to have your mail forwarded to your own UNIX workstation or to another location, please put that location here. Values should be a complete email address (user@workstation.com) Note: this does not apply to PC or Macintosh users!
