Setting up Newsgroups:
1. From the menu bar, Click File > New > Account.
2. A wizard is now displayed to help you setup your Newsgroup account. Select “Newsgroup account” from the list of options and click “Next.”
3. Next under the Your Name field enter your full name (or whatever
name you want displayed to users when you post to a newsgroup.)
Next enter in your email address under the Email Address field. Click “Next.”
4. Enter in the Newsgroup server field “netnews.whoi.edu”. Then click “Next.”.
5. This should display the Newsgroup Server, unless you want to change this, Click “Next.”.
6. Verify that all of the information is correct, and then click Finish.

7. From the menu bar, select File > Subscribe. Select under Account “netnews.whoi.edu”.
8. Scroll down under Newsgroup name to “whoi” and then click on the arrow next to “whoi”. Check off the Newsgroups you are interested in applying to and then click OK.
