Details and what to expect

  1. After entering your e-mail username and password, you will see a list of your e-mail folders
  2. Click on each of the checkboxes to the left of the folders you want to archive (Hint: by checking the Activate Subfolder Auto Selection option, all of the indented sub-folders of a given folder will be automatically checked when that higher-level folder is selected.)
  3. When you have finished selecting folders, click on Next at the top of the form.
  4. You'll be given an opportunity to double-check your selection and, Go.
  5. When the archive has been created (usually less than an hour later), you will receive an e-mail message with a URL to visit for more information.
  6. Visit the custom web site created by the archive facility, where you will learn whether your e-mail archive will fit on a CD-ROM or will require the additional capacity of a DVD.
  7. Now, you must decide whether you are going to burn the CD-ROM or request that the Helpdesk staff burn it for you.
  8. If you choose to have the Helpdesk burn the archive to CD / DVD for you, you will need to enter a project number and a phone number where we can reach you to verify it. See 10.
  9. If you want to burn the archive onto the appropriate medium, you can download the ISO image to your own computer and burn it using readily available software.
  10. If you choose to have the CIS helpdesk staff burn the archive for you, we will charge you as follows:
    * for a CD-ROM: a half hour of Technical Assistance ($27.00 in 2006)
    * for a DVD: an hour of Technical Assistance ($54.00 in 2006)
